Manifesto’s client works were shortlisted in five categories in the Finnish Comms Awards organised by Marketing Finland. The shortlisted PR projects were carried out in co-operation with the grocery delivery robot company Starship Technologies, Paulig and MIELI Mental Health Finland. Manifesto was one of the PR agencies with most shortlisted entries. The winners will be announced at the Finnish Comms Awards ceremony in Helsinki on Wednesday 26th of October 2022.
The quality of entries in this year’s Finnish Comms Awards competition was all-time high. Out of total of 103 client projects, 67 were shortlisted to compete for prizes in the various categories. The three client projects entered by Manifesto in the awards competition received nominations in the following categories:
- Starship Technologies in the categories ‘Public Affairs’ and ‘Lauch of the Year (B2C)’ – Enabling grocery delivery robots market entry – a four-year comprehensive communication project from public affairs to launch communication
- MIELI Mental Health Finland in the categories ‘Pro Bono’ and ‘Fund-Raising Feat of the Year’ – Haloo Mieli! – Mental health ribbon campaign promoting mental health
- Paulig in the category ‘Service and Product Communications (B2C)’ – Paulig and The Martha Organization tackle the macaroni melancholy
“Our mission is to help our clients succeed in business by delivering effective communications of the highest standards. Success is always built together with the customer. Being shortlisted is therefore a tribute to the long-term co-operation between Manifesto and its clients. Credit goes not only to Manifesto, but also to our clients Starship, Paulig and MIELI Mental Health Finland,” says Harri Kammonen, Manifesto’s CEO.
Starship Technologies – Enabling the market entry
Manifesto supported Starship, a developer of grocery delivery robots, in entering the Finnish market. Collaboration started with public affairs in 2018, culminating in the launch of the service in Espoo in 2022.
“The support provided by Manifesto played a key role in the entire entry process. We were able to avoid the pitfalls and focus on the right things. This saved us resources and made it easier to enter the market, which is vital for our business,” says Henry Harris-Burland, VP, Global Marketing & Comms, Starship Technologies.
Paulig – a virtual cookery school
For Paulig, cookery schools are strategically important events for establishing contacts with key target groups and presenting the company’s new products. They provide an opportunity to test and taste new food products by preparing food under the guidance of a professional chef. With the outbreak of Covid-19, the concept was modified by making it virtual. It proved surprisingly popular; for example, the Paulig X Martha Organization cookery school attracted close to one hundred food journalists and social media influencers.
According to Paulig’s Communications Manager Pirjo Hästbacka, underlying the success of the virtual cookery school was the strong and proven cookery school concept, solid project management expertise and close cooperation. She describes the collaboration as smooth and efficient from beginning to end.
MIELI Mental Health Finland – Mental health ribbon campaign PR
Manifesto was responsible for PR and media relations in the Mental health ribbon campaign in spring 2022 on a pro bono basis. The campaign seeks to encourage people to talk about mental health issues and reduce the stigma associated with these problems.
MIELI’s Campaign Manager Katri Korpinen thanks Manifesto for having the courage to embrace hope and says that Manifesto showed great insight into MIELI’s way of working and style of communication.
“Together, we reached out to donors in a way that was appropriate for us and were able to achieve the financial outcome we were aiming for while standing out from the crowd as an organisation,” says Korpinen.
The winners will be announced at the Finnish Comms Awards ceremony in Helsinki on Wednesday 26th of October 2022.
