Amos Rex announced its opening exhibition under the square of Lasipalatsi

TeamLab’s immersive installations are extremely challenging to build. The photo shows Graffiti Nature that will be seen in Amos Rex as well.

Lasipalatsi that lies in the center of Helsinki, will have its grand opening in August 2018, when the new Amos Rex museum kick-starts. The opening exhibition is an immersive entity created by the Japanese TeamLab artist group. It will be created with the help of 100 Epson laser projectors. TeamLab is known for its digital installations, and it comprises of approximately 500 members. They consist of artists, coders, computer animators, mathematicians, architects, and graphic designers. The aim of the group is to “redefine” reality and it challenges normal conceptions of art.

Lasipalatsi has gone through a long and thorough renovation and the exhibition opening up in August will last until end of December, at least. Epson’s trusted partner Pro AV Art Oy will help in the technical production of the installation.
