Sony is concentrating its mobile phone brand communications under PR Agency Manifesto, who is already responsible for Sony’s other consumer product communications. The concentration of communication services follows the April 2019 merger of the previously separate Sony Mobile with Sony Electronics. The integration creates synergy benefits between Sony’s product groups. As an example, the technology used in Sony Alpha cameras and Sony Bravia television sets is also used in the company’s Xperia smartphones to an increasing extent.
“For historical reasons, Sony’s two divisions have worked with different communications agencies in each country. With this merger, it was only natural to engage with one agency to manage all our communications and product loans. We will continue our work with Manifesto,” says Line Holm Hansen, PR Manager for Sony Nordic.
Representatives of the media interested in Sony Xperia phones are from now on asked to contact Manifesto as the communications agency responsible for the mobile phone brand communications and product lending.
“Sony’s decision to expand our partnership is brilliant news for us and shows confidence in our work. Collaboration with the Sony Xperia brand will start with the IFA Fair in early September. Sony will be presenting a wide range of consumer products at IFA. Working with Xperia phones is interesting because the brand is a challenger in an extremely competitive market. The mobile market is experiencing interesting times in general. We have a good and experienced team in place to support Sony,” says Harri Kammonen, CEO at Manifesto.
The new contact email in all media inquiries related to Sony products is sony@manifesto.fi.
