Manifesto’s Friendsgiving Press Day delivers networking opportunities and new brand discoveries

On Thursday, October 8th, Manifesto hosted a Friendsgiving Press Day at the Manifesto Showroom. The event featured a host of leading lifestyle brands specialising in everything from home decor and food to health, beauty, consumer electronics and online safety. The lineup for the day comprised Dr. Wolff, Gold&Green, Ledvance, Lejos, Lenovo, mySafety, Tevella and Yamazaki.

“What I love about the Manifesto Showroom is that it brings together such a huge range of lifestyle brands. As an influencer, it’s a great way for me to find new ideas and create inspiring content for my followers. I’ve discovered so many fantastic things here, including the Ledvance light that I now have in my hallway,” explained lifestyle blogger and Instagram micro influencer Mikaela Koskela.

“This was the first time MySafety has taken part in a press day, and it was a really positive experience for us. Our Cyberbullying Insurance is not the easiest of products to introduce to audiences, and it was lovely to see how many guests stayed to talk to us about some really important themes, like cyberbullying and identity theft, and how we can protect ourselves against them,” said Johanna Abgottspon, Head of Customer Operations and Marketing at mySafety.

Safety first

The Friendsgiving event welcomed a total of 34 guests, including 11 journalists and 23 social media influencers. This was the first press day held since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak.

“The health and safety of our staff and visitors is always the top priority for us, and every aspect of our events reflects that. We asked our guests to select their arrival time in advance, as they signed up for the event, which meant that we were able to manage the flow of people and keep to a maximum of ten visitor at one time. We also staggered the presence of our brand representatives, everyone was masked up, and staff were on hand to regularly sanitize surfaces,” Manifesto partner Jonna Varhama explained.

Everyone in attendance praised how well run the event was.

“This was a brilliant event in every way. Everything ran very smoothly, there were no bottlenecks and the staggered arrival times worked really well for everyone,” summed up Johanna Abgottspon.

Three-day event coming up in November

Manifesto Showroom’s next press day is set to take place in the third week of November, coronavirus permitting.

“Our October Friendsgiving event was a chance for us to pilot our new Covid-19 safe press day concept. We’re now planning another event for November, run over three days to allow for more social distancing. At Manifesto, we’re committed to supporting our client businesses through these unusual times, and a press day is an excellent way to do that,” Jonna Varhama concluded.
