Finnkino’s aim is to be a pioneer and provide Finland’s most diverse range of experiences and Espoo’s Finnkino Omena, opened in spring 2017, is an excellent example. The first full-laser cinema complex in northern Europe introduced state-of-the-art laser technology, modern theatres, and novel concepts.
Manifesto designed and implemented Finnkino Omena’s communications-related launch in its entirety. The strategic planning involved crystallising messages, drawing up a Q&A, and customising media and social media influencer lists. An advance event for the media was organised in the form of a site tour one month before the opening of the theatre, and the main media event was organised on the morning before the opening day. Manifesto was also responsible for inviting entertainers and rolling out the red carpet at the gala opening ceremony for partners and celebrities.
As a result of the cooperation, Finnkino Omena received extensive visibility across the media: the new cinema featured in the publications Helsingin Sanomat, Hufvudstadsbladet, Länsiväylä, Tekniikka&Talous, Hifimaailma, Taloussanomat, Episodi, Me Naiset, Apu, Anna, and Seiska, and in numerous social media channels.
